African-American Ministries
NTC African American Churches are in rural, urban and suburban America characterized by strong clergy and lay leadership, Christian spiritual and faith formation and education, bible study, as well as vibrant and varied worship rooted in Wesleyan heritage while embracing their cultural heritage through scripture, music, prayer and the Word.
Churches work as the hands and feet of Christ in mission and ministry with economic development programs, disaster relief, literacy campaigns, computer literacy laboratories, ministering to and with abused persons, HIV/AIDS, street worship, food pantries and homeless ministries.
They reach into their surrounding neighborhoods to offer outreach programs to children, youth, single adults, people with special needs and older adults often becoming the social and cultural center of their communities.
NTC African American Churches are inclusive and welcoming as they "make disciples of Jesus Christ".
