Background Checks

The new conference-wide property and liability insurance program through UM PACT (United Methodist Property and Casualty Trust), which begins January 1, 2007, is making available a new background check system which can be utilized by your church.  It is much more comprehensive and thorough than what we have used in the past.  Because we believe in this product and its importance, the conference has already paid the one-time set-up fee for all churches in the North Texas Conference.

Child Protection Package -- $9 per search for PACT members ($12.50 per search for non-PACT members) includes:  Multi-State Criminal Check, Sex-Offender Registries, Social Trace.

Child Protection Plus Package -- $14.50 per search for PACT members ($18 per search for non-PACT members) plus applicable state fees, includes:  Child Protection Package services, PLUS Motor Vehicle Trace.

To  begin using this new system, Trak-1, you will need to sign a PACT member contract and a customer compliance contract in order to authorize an ID to be set up in your church name and to arrange for billing.  You may access the background check system and get more information through the PACT website.
