Bishop's Committee on Clergy Sexual Ethics

€
The Bishop's Committee on Sexual Ethics envisions making all churches safe sanctuaries for the proclaiming and living out of God's gracious, redeeming love for all humankind.€ Further, we seek to make this sanctuary a place of healing.€ Sadly, we know that sexual abuse is present in the world and therefore is sometimes present in the Church.€ The€Bishop's Committee on Sexual Ethics was created for the purpose of preventing the tragic occurrence of clergy sexual misconduct and of promoting healing if it has occurred.
€
The Bishop's Committee on Sexual Ethics€is accountable€to the Bishop of the North Texas Conference.

-
Our Advocacy Work -- Recruiting, training and equipping Resource Persons; the first line of help for aggrieved persons.
-
Our Healing Work -- Sending a response team to€help acongregation€heal€after a pastor has been removed.
The education and advocacy work of the committee are done by a variety of people under Alice Zaccarello's guidance.

The healing work is coordinated by Carole Carsey.€
