Evangelism
The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. To make disciples, United Methodist Christians must share the good news of Jesus Christ in all arenas of life. We share good news in many ways - in our words, and through our action and compassion as the Body of Christ in the World.
One important way that the NTC is involved in evangelism is through the Igniting Ministry initiative. Through the denominational, conference, and local church Igniting Ministry inviting, welcoming, and discipling outreach, we link connectional advertising and marketing campaigns with local church inviting and welcoming initiatives. Then, once new persons become part of the church, Igniting Ministry provides resources to help new - as well as existing members - grow in discipleship.
