Very Important Information for all Lay-Speakers
"Local and Certified"
Every Lay Speaker must complete a refresher course every three
years to mantain their status as Lay Speaker.
A local must take either a basic again or go on to be certified.
A certified Lay Speaker must take another advanced class to remain Certified
and both Local and Certified Lay Speakers must turn a completed annual form
in at their yearly Charge Conference to maintain their status as a Lay Speaker.
If this procedure is not followed you may be asked to go through the process again
starting with Basic and then taking another advanced class to be Certified.
The book of Discipline is very clear on this it provides for two levels of Lay Speakers:
Local Church and Certified. While local Church lay speakers serve only their own Church,Certified lay speakers may serve anywhere they are asked to serve as long as they they are members in good standing.

The Meetings are set for this year 2011 At Grandy's Resturant on north
Texoma Parkway
there in Sherman, Tx. Just north of Hwy. 82 ON Texoma Parkway
We meet at 6 PM and eat and the meeting starts at 7 PM.
We did meet on the third Tuesday every quater but they took our date for a more paying group and pushed ours to the second Tuesday of the Quater.{Oh Well)
